Some good news! Our PPE has arrived and we are making the final checks and preparations to ensure we are safe and ready to open for staff and patients on Tuesday 23rd of June. Due to limited stocks of PPE and current professional guidance we are limited to emergencies, by appointment only. Please do not arrive at the practice without prior arrangement as we will need to have a closed door policy in place.
It is important to clarify that during this current Covid alert level 3, the collective professional guidance is that we should avoid the use of high speed drills, scalers, and blowing air in the mouth – or anything which create an aerosol. This limits the treatment that we are able to offer in all but the most severe of cases. Additionally, in many cases we will need to provide temporary treatment until the situation changes.
The practice has a backlog of urgent cases and we will be contacting these patients as a priority to be seen as soon as we open. If you are expecting a call and have not heard from us, please contact us.
It is with great regret that due to the need for enhanced PPE, increased costs of basic PPE and a reduction in the number of patients we are able to see; we have had to make some changes to our fees and cancellation policy. This decision has not been taken lightly and is solely to give the practice the best chance of surviving, which, even with this change, is not guaranteed. We are aware that with the rising cost of dentistry some of our patients may find accessing the service difficult, therefore we are considering introducing a monthly payment plan. We would be most grateful if you could take the time to complete our survey on the website or Facebook page so that we may better understand your thoughts.
Please keep an eye out for updates in the next few days regarding the new cancellation policy and what to expect when you visit.
